A Little Rain, A Lot of Luck
Paul was going to propose in Iceland on Joannes birthday trip they had planned, but well, COVID had other ideas.
Opting instead to do it at home, Paul invited the fam and created the biggest balloon arch in the world.
It spelt out “Marry Me” and of course Joanne said that magic three letter word Paul was dying to hear! (Yes!)
Fast forward a few years, and their wedding date had finally rolled around. Most looking forward to being walked down the aisle by her mum and son, and getting drunk, Joanne knows what’s what, am I right?
While the weather threatened a change of plans, the rain stayed for the luck and left for the ceremony!
As such Joanne was able to walk the long aisle to the pagoda by the lake at That Amazing Place.
There she met Paul, who I think may have thought she looked damn good. I’m speculating, but y’know, I’m pretty confident about it!
Speeches with Tears, Laughs, Cheekiness & More
Family being a huge factor for both Joanne & Paul, it was beautiful to see them finally come together as the blended unit they now truly are.
And the highlight of the day?
Without question, the speech from Paul’s 13-year-old son. He talked of being grateful for his new step mum, and how he was gaining more family.
He talked about Paul supporting him with everything he does, including putting his hand in his pocket when needed. (££)
Even he got a bit emosh. A few tears. Quickly followed by joy and laughter.
It was definitely a moment they won’t let him forget, spesh ‘cause I got it all on film!
An Amazing Wedding at That Amazing Place
A relaxed family vibe is what these two were going for and it came together beautifully.
With Little Wedding Creche taking care of the kiddos, Joanne and Paul could focus on having a lovely time with their guests, which is exactly what they wanted.
They continued their celebrations into the evening, with Simply Sax tearing up the dancefloor. Even trying to teach a little girl to play, who did not seem impressed!!
They’d moved to the marquee for their evening portion, but the weather was so lovely in the evening, lots of people were chilling outside in the gorgeous landscapes That Amazing Place offers.
