Stock Street Farm Barn Wedding Reception – How we Got Here
Some couples meet online, some couples meet at work, some meet in the gym, some on a night out. But Abi & Billy have a uniquely different story that I’ll bet you’ve not heard before.
You see, Abi & her dad had bought a local cafe, a cafe that unbeknownst to them at the time, was to come with her future husband. Abi might have laughed at the notion, had you told her the future, but that’s exactly what happened for Abi & Billy.
Bill had worked at the cafe with the previous owner, and being the brill guy he is, stuck around to help out when Abi and her dad bought it! He’d appear more and more often helping out with odd jobs, but it seems he may have had other intentions…
Needless to say a relationship blossomed, and Abi & Bill blend together with ease, fun and tons of love. A couple who value family, friends, and fun, it was a wedding day that showcased their relationship and all of those values.
Ceremony First at the Marks Tey Hotel!
Abi was getting ready at home while Bill was already in the hotel. I had my lovely second shooter, Dan, over with the boys while I got to stay with the girls before we headed to the hotel. Cooking sausage rolls and toasting with bubbles, it’s fair to say I knew this wedding was going to be a corker.
We made it to the Marks Tey where it was time to have the ceremony, Abi literally jumped for joy once the were officially married. Jumped for joy in her Kurt Geiger trainers, what a frigging beautiful moment.
A couple so excited to tie the knot, and share that moment with all their loved ones, it was an emotional affair! They exited with the same enthusiasm as I’d seen all day, only this time, they were husband and wife, wahoo!!
Relaxed & Fun Party at Stock Street Farm Barn!
No planned speeches, wanting their guests not to feel any pressure, no planned seating and a chilled out BBQ. Abi & Billy wanted a chilled out, fun night with their people. Stock Street Farm Barn was the perfect fitting rustic and relaxed wedding venue.
Even though speeches weren’t originally planned, we ended up having five wonderful speakers! And that doesn’t include Abi & Billy! Some incredible words spoken, jokes had, and of course a whole lot of fun! A testament to the love their guests have for these two beauts.
The guys changed into Hawaiian shirts for the evening, and then the party really got started. With two sets of musicians and a surprise Turkish dance, that dancefloor was as packed as I’ve ever seen it.
You could feel every beat, every movement, filled with joy and emotion, and all that love in the room. After a 12 hour wedding the day before you’d think I might have been ready to hit the hay, but my word, I was buzzzing!!
If you want to count on someone who keeps the party going, who gets involved, and gives you the most awesome wedding day because they LOVE what they do, look no further than Michael of Stock Street Farm Barn (10 points if you can spot him in the photos!).
Stock Street Farm Barn Wedding Photos!
The best bit about being a photographer is providing photos where my couples can remember how they felt in that moment. And these photos, boy you can feel them!!
