Amy & Connor’s Beautiful Skylark Golf Club Wedding!
These two beauts had their stunning summer wedding at Skylark Golf Club one delightful Monday afternoon. A bit of rain threatened, but after a small shower it cleared right up and we even had a beautiful sunset!
Amy and I knew each other from a previous job we’d worked at together in Essex. We’d both left and moved on and she and her long term boyfriend, Connor had moved to Portsmouth to follow their dreams.
A Wedding Photography Turning Point
When Amy asked me to photograph their wedding I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait! Looking back I’m so grateful they both trusted me with to capture their special day. (As I am with all my couples, it’s still amazing to me, and I hope to never take that for granted!)
Amy always had a way about her, she was always easy to talk to and had such a laid back fun loving personality, with so much love to give! This reflected on Amy & Connor’s wedding day as all their family wore similar smiles of joy. Everyone was relaxed and laughing away, just the way it should be.
Writing Your own Vows
Amy & Connor wrote their own vows which they each read in front of their family and friends. Not a lot of couples opt to do this anymore and it was a moment even I’ll never forget. It had many of us in stitches of laughter and tears all at the same time, as they shared stories that led them to this day.
This was about two people who’d fallen madly in love. They shared the best of their years together and were now making that commitment to carry on that way for the rest of their lives in front of their family and friends. Throughout the day the pair were laughing and smiling without a care in the world. It was infectious! I had a blast photographing their wedding and wish them a life full of love and happiness.
