An Assisted Lockdown Proposal; Featuring a Cute Assistant!
Lucy & Tom’s story began in the most unexpectedly perfect way; during lockdown.
Tom enlisted the help of son, Bradley as the sweetest little accomplice, writing “Will you marry me?” on the wall outside their front door.
He led Lucy outside where they found Tom waiting patiently on one knee. Simple, meaningful, and absolutely unforgettable.
So stepping into their wedding day and capturing this next chapter, surrounded by the family who watched that moment unfold, felt incredibly special.
Generations of Woos, Cheers & All the Love
If there’s one thing you should know about this wedding, it’s that the wooing was iconic.
From the moment Lucy walked in, right through to confetti cannons and bubbles, there wasn’t a moment that went unwooed! Truly, it was one of the most vocally supportive families I’ve ever seen… heard?! And I loved every second of it!
Seeing multiple generations celebrating in the same church they’ve gathered in time and time again added this beautiful layer of meaning. You could feel the history, the love, the pride, all wrapped into one big, noisy, joy-filled moment.
Special shoutout to:
– Bradley, ring security (and he took this role very seriously)
– Bella, who kept telling her mum how beautiful she looked
– The SO MANY bubbles
– Confetti cannons that absolutely went off (Geddit?!)
– And Lucy, who made the décor, flowers and favours herself. (Honestly… start the business, Lucy. We’re all ready.)
DIY Efforts, Relaxed Photos, Great Vibes
After saying their I dos in the family church, the party continued at Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall.
Guests enjoyed Lucy’s DIY efforts, and Lucy & Tom enjoyed their relaxed wedding celebrations with their fave people, just as they’d wanted.
Their goal for photos? Happy memories. Images that bring back every laugh, every woo, every tear, and every tiny detail that made their day theirs.
Mission accomplished.
A Whirlwind Day at Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall
From a heartfelt proposal to handmade details, multiple generations cheering, and a couple who just wanted to be together with their loved ones; this wedding was pure magic.
As their Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall wedding photographer, capturing all these moments was an ruddy blast.
Lucy & Tom thank you for letting me be part of such a beautiful, loud, love-filled day. Can we do it all over again please?
