From Dog Training Days to “I Do”
Steve & Karen’s story goes way back to their early 20s where they met at a dog training club. Going their separate ways, as life often takes us, they reconnected many years and life adventures later.
Sometimes it’s all about the timing, am I right? Stay tuned to hear more about why the timing was key for Steve & Karen!
After years of playfully dodging the idea of marriage, Steve finally decided to pop the question on holiday in Gran Canaria. Picture this: rooftop restaurant, sunset views, a romantic meal, enter pudding…
The ring was on Karen’s dessert plate with “Will You Marry Me?” written in toffee.
Her response? “Are you serious?!” – before, of course, saying yes.
Beating the Rain at Hunters Meet
For the second wedding in a row at Hunters Meet, rain was threatening to call off a planned outdoor ceremony. The first succeeded. Backup plans ensued, indoor ceremony area ready to go. We were ready, come what may.
Originally Steve & Karen were going to be wed 2 hours later than their planned ceremony time. Remember when I said timing was key for these two?
Their ceremony had been brought forward by two hours unexpectedly, and this turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
The rain held off just long enough for them to have their outdoor ceremony, and some photos outside. We headed inside for dinner, and the heavens opened.
If they’d stuck with the original time? A whole different story. Honestly, sometimes the wedding gods are just on your side.
Karen’s mum walked her down the aisle, we took some photos, and the heavens opened.
Why Choose Me For Your Hunters Meet Wedding?
Let’s be real, choosing an Essex wedding photographer isn’t easy. There’s loads of us. Steve & Karen told me it came down to two choices, and the fact they chose me? Genuinely makes my heart sing.
From the moment we met (I may have been a bit distracted stroking the dogs), it felt like we were on the same wavelength.
Laid back, love a laugh, big fans of animals – my kind of people.
That connection? It matters more than anything on the day. But the deciding factor for them was my albums.
I treat my albums as more than just a book of photos. They are the things I hope your children, and children’s children look at for years to come.
They are your legacy. And to Steve & Karen, thank you for having me be part of yours!
Hunters Meet Weddings Photography
Sometimes things align, just like they did for Steve & Karen.
For them, the wedding was all about finally making it official and celebrating with their favourite people.
And looking back? They wanted photos that bring it all flooding back; the love, the pride, and those properly brilliant memories of the day.
Well, let’s see if we achieved that, aye?
