Why I Love Capturing First Dance Wedding Photos

by | May 14, 2019 | 0 comments

First dance wedding photos are one of my absolute favourite parts of a wedding day to capture. And a fantastic way to end the photo story of your day. Once the marriage certificate has been handed over, the meal eaten and the cake cut, there really is no better way to send off an awesome day and start an awesome night.

BUT EVERYONE WILL BE LOOKING AT ME!

Some people will be nervous about everyone watching them. The thought of having their first dance with their new spouse while spectators get to stare at them for a whole 3 minutes or more! I totally get it. But in truth, it’s still one of my favourite things to capture.

Okay so people will be watching you, that’s true. But you won’t be watching them. You and your new love will be so engrossed in each other and the dancing that all those people looking won’t matter. Trust me, you’ll hardly notice they’re there!

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MOMENT

What I love most about first dance wedding photos, is that they are 100% natural. I literally just document what happens. Once you’ve forgotten all about the crowd, the magic happens. That connection is what is captured these photographs. It’s something I can’t begin to explain in words.

And as such, I’ll let some of my favourite first dance wedding photos show you how utterly special these moments are.
