Getting Wed at Essendon Country Club

The sun was shining for Rob & Gills wedding day, making their Essendon Country Club wedding photography a breeze to capture. A relaxed couple, a beautiful day, and wonderful family and friends, sounds like my kinda wedding alright!

Rob & Gill had been together 16 years by the time they come to actually tie the knot. But I think you’ll all agree it was worth the wait for them.

As you can imagine these two were quite a bit younger 16 years ago. And in those days it wasn’t a case of phone number exchange, but a walkie talkie set up organised by Gills brother.

Well, they say everything happens for a reason right?

The funny thing is I had a walkie talkie thing with my best mate when we were kids, we lived a cul-de-sac apart and were within reach, so it was the most fun at the time. How mobile phones have changed the world, aye?!

Making Your Wedding Your Own!

One of my favourite things about weddings, is when couples make it their own! And Rob & Gill certainly did that in style.

You’ll see a photo below of their table plan set up, which included photos of these two and their very much loved doggos. When Gill asked me if she could bring the doggos on their engagement session, I of course was very agreeable!

Not only that but we had a beautiful ceremony, a drive in the golf buggy – with personlised number plate, a fricken gorgeous sunset portrait sesh, and a hilarious game of Mr & Mrs to kick off the wedding reception.
