Castle Park, Colchester Engagement Session

I met Sarah & Ben in Castle Park, Colchester for their engagement session one beautiful April evening.

Lockdowns were only just starting to ease in the UK. Non-essential businesses were just given to go ahead to finally reopen their doors. A necessary evil, but we were glad to get back to what we love doing most.

And, with shoots and weddings postponed, we jumped at the chance to get Sarah & Ben booked in for their engagement session! We were both excited to do something fun, something that involved putting on some make up – something that seem a bit alien to us by this point!

Luckily we had Vanessa at Essex Hair & Make Up on hand to give Sarah a beautifully natural look for the session. And how awesome is Sarah’s hair colour!?

Castle Park, Colchester Engagement Photo Shoot

If you’re looking for a cool spot for engagement photos, Castle Park, Colchester certainly has more than enough to offer.

With a variety of backgrounds, a loop around this place combines awesome natural foliage with awesome buildings too.

It’s also a beautiful walk, camera or no. But I prefer camera, obviously!

Castle Park, Colchester Pre Wedding Photos

We took a walk around, chatted all things lockdown and dogs (obviously!), and took some awesome photos. 

After their shoot Sarah & Ben choose a few prints, printed on fine art cotton paper, which is the MOST stunning paper ever, and a beautiful oak framed print to display in their home.

Seeing photos in print, really makes them come alive – it’s so much better than just having them on socials!
