BEN & GEORGINA’s Wedding at BISHOPS STORTFORD REGISTRY AND THE LINK, HarLOW
A couple of weeks prior to Ben & Georgina’s wedding, I met them both at the Link to make sure everything was on track as planned. We finalised all the details for photography and went and had a walk around to discuss photo opportunities.
The day of the wedding came, and I think everyone was glad it wasn’t as hot as the week before! The day was mostly cloudy (a photographers dream don’t you know) and the rain held off for just as long as it was supposed to.
BISHOP’S STORTFORD REGISTRY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Ben & Georgina’s wedding ceremony took place at Bishop’s Stortford Registry, a mock-Tudor building close to the River Stort. Their website claims you can there by arrive by boat should you wish! It’s a beautiful building and a real great choice for a wedding ceremony. I love the look and feel of the old wooden beams and mock-Tudor look. There are two ceremony rooms, of which Ben & Georgina had their ceremony in the larger upstairs room.
More than a few tears were seen as Georgina walked down the aisle, from family and friends to their children, Kyla and Kobi! It was such an emotional and beautiful ceremony to be a part of. Some of their loved ones gave readings, including daughter Kyla who spoke beautifully while reading.
Onto The Reception at the Link Harlow!
We then headed to the reception at the Link, Harlow. Ben & Georgina arrived in a gorgeous classic wedding car by Crown Wedding Car Hire, who were super accommodating. Making sure I could park close to avoid missing any details – seriously awesome. Highly recommend!
We started the reception as I always try to and got the group photographs done, before I took Ben & Georgina off on their own for their couple’s session. And these two, ah. Look at the photos, you’ll see what I mean. I can’t explain what is it to see and capture a connection between two people, but I hope you can see it in the photos below because it just makes me melt! #perfectcouple
Ben & Georgina chose to have their wedding at the Link in Harlow because it was a place family have always gone, and as such held a special place for them. It just made sense. While I was taking couples photos, Ben’s grandfather walks up and points out the bench I had them sitting on and said he was responsible for getting that bench added. Just small elements of a family history that really do make a wedding all the more meaningful, and a beautiful touch to the photos.
A beautiful, albeit wet end to the evening.
The speeches were short and sweet with the most notable having to go to best man and son of the newlyweds Kobi, who gave one of the cutest speeches I’ve ever seen. Such brave confident children, Mum and Dad were beaming with pride.
Then onto enjoying the evening as they danced the night away. Georgina didn’t have to worry about sore feet due to her awesome custom wedding converse! It was raining by that point but we didn’t mind, as it was party time!
A brilliant day, for a brilliant couple. Ben & Georgina, thanks for having me. I hope you love your photos as much as I loved capturing them!
Congratulations once again Mr and Mrs Stevens! Woo! Scroll down for some pictures from the day!
