Hannah & Emma’s Bishops Stortford Register Office WEdding
Many of us have faced struggles like you wouldn’t believe these past couple of years. But the world couldn’t have thrown more crap at Hannah & Emma. Yeah, thanks world.
In difficult times, you have a choice. You can let them define you, or you can hold your head high and move forward no matter how much it hurts.
I won’t say anymore, as that’s not my story to tell. But know this, Hannah & Emma, you both deserve so so much happiness.
Thank you for sharing your day and your stories with me, and know that I’m here sending love, positivity and good vibes to you.
When my couples feel like they can share their personal struggles with me, it helps me get to know them better, it helps them to trust me and it helps us all to get shit off our chest.
So future couples, if you’re out there, I’m more than happy to be that for you.
I like to think I’m more than a photographer, I’m a human. As cliche as that sounds. But know, you’ll always be met with kindness and compassion from me.
And if I’m not doing that, I’m not living up to what I set out to do with my wedding photography business.
Right, stop getting soppy Linds.
Wedding Ceremony at Bishops Stortford REgister Office
Anyway, let’s move on to the day that Hannah & Emma got to call each other wife and wife, and find some light in that tunnel.
You see, what started out as a rainy day, could’ve immediately set them off kilter. But it didn’t. And this is Hannah & Emma’s personalities and strengths, exhibited all while I’ve known them.
And equally on this day too, they held their heads high, and immersed themselves and their guests in positivity and joy.
Some family members were unable to attend due to health issues, Others fought tooth and nail through health issues, even cancelling treatments to be there to see these two wed.
And of course, some had struck the unlucky cord and had to self isolate due to that pandemic thing that was going around at the time.
Yet, when I walked through that door, and asked Hannah how she was feeling, she was buzzing!! She was just so excited to finally be able to call Emma her WIFE. To quote Ladbaby (yes, I’m slightly obsessed!) Yes mate!!!
Bishops Stortford REgister Office Wedding
Now I’ve shot a few times at Bishops Stortford Registry Office, and you may remember Ben & Georgina’s wedding from there.
In those times, I’ve never experienced what Emma’s mum put us through outside the doors of the wedding ceremony.
I’ve spared her the sharing of photos (of which there are plenty – and a video!), but when she moved just one step in the wrong direction, got her heel stuck in the drain and couldn’t get it out – everyone cracked up.
Sometimes I question whether I should continue capturing moments like these, and usually I play it by ear. But everyone was in such good spirits, we carried on filming and photographing, much to the amusement of Hannah & Emma.
It’s all about memories, right? And the moments we’ll never live down, they don’t define us. So we can just laugh at them! And laugh we sure did.
It was smiles all round, all day.
