Bishops Stortford Register Office Wedding
Remember back in 2020, we all thought 2021 weddings would be safe… I sure did. While Annisa & Lewis were planning their Bishops Stortford register office wedding, I was excited to finally be able to get back to shooting weddings.
Plans were a little up in the air, and we were trying to plan for all scenarios, crossing our fingers and toes that all would go ahead. A week or so before their wedding date, we went into lockdown again. Yeah.
I can’t even imagine the pain that must’ve caused. To go from planning your wedding, being told to keep on as if it’s all going to happen. Then it all comes to a halt just a few days before those plans are due to come to life.
I felt such a responsibility to be a beacon of stress-free hope for my couples, endeavouring to make this horrible process one that’s as easy to transition through as possible.
But it still hurts. I felt for them so hard.
Wedding Ceremony at Bishops Stortford Registry Office
Choosing (even before the pandemic) to split their day into two, Annisa & Lewis had their legal ceremony at Bishops Stortford register office, one chilly January afternoon.
While their wedding happened a whole year later than originally planned, it was a blessing that their new addition would be in attendance.
Getting ready when you’ve a 3 month old is no easy task, and while they were a bit late to the ceremony, it was a joy to watch them finally become Mr and Mrs!
Can you imagine if they’d been turned away after everything it took to get them here? Me either. Doesn’t bare thinking about. Thank the universe it all went off without a hitch, and hitched they got!
Luckily Annisa chose the perfect dress for breastfeeding, something I was overjoyed to be able to capture throughout the day for them. Those precious precious memories. Ah! All the feels.
And, amazingly, baby slept the entire ceremony, not making a single peep, and letting mum and dad have the day they’d be dreaming of.

I mean it was 2019 when we did their engagement session, and now their wedding had been pushed to 2022, just felt mental.
Well, postponing a year wasn’t the start to 2021 they’d hoped, it was completely worth the wait!
And even better they got two day’s worth of celebrations and had another day dedicated to included all of their extended loved ones the next day at their Manor of Groves wedding. And I was lucky enough to be there to capture that too!
Right, now for some photos of their Bishops Stortford register office wedding photography!
