Sheena & John’s Delicate Engagement Session
Easter weekend rolled around, and we were now just a couple weeks away from Sheena & John’s Friern Manor wedding. (Click here to see how that went!)
They’d both just landed back from their hen and stag dos, so were feeling a tad… delicate. Big up to them for going ahead given that, it must have been a challenge!
Luckily, we had a wander, had a laugh, and got some great photos ahead of their wedding day!
Engagement shoots can sometimes seem like a cringe idea, but they’re a great way to feel that reconnection, as well as prep for your wedding photos!
Sheena & John were just them together, teasing each other, laughing in between shots and proving that their story is built on humour and a big dose of real, real affection.
From “Who’s John?” to forever!
By the time we got to this session, John was no longer the mysterious guy with the questionable existence (lol) that no one had met at Paul’s birthday—he was the guy.

John was one who pulled out a ring during a fairy lit champagne night in lockdown, and the one who would soon be front and centre at Friern Manor, surrounded by a family who had once questioned whether he was real.
And on this Easter weekend, fresh back from celebrating hard with their favourite people… they showed up for one last pre-wedding moment to just be themselves.
A perfect little warm up to a wedding day that turned into pure celebration.
